Questions

Are there any more drop length options for the 2" shank MultiPro/MultiFlex hitch?

The 2" shank MultiPro/MultiFlex has two standard drop options, 2.5" and 4.5". However, you can invert the swing arm to the offset down position, like in the pictures below, to get an additional 4" of drop.

Note: This only applies to the 2" shank MultiPro/MultiFlex Tow & Stow.

• Remove the hitch from your receiver, then remove the two stainless steel pins securing the swing arm to the pin block.

• Invert the swing arm so that it's in the 'stowed' position, then slide the swing arm away from the pin block. Note: The socket head screw must be removed from the pin block.

• Flip the swing arm and reinsert it back into the pin block. Reinstall and tighten the socket head screw securely.

• Invert the swing arm around to the front of the hitch and reinstall your two stainless steel pins, then put your hitch back into your receiver.

You now have an additional 4" of drop on your 2" shank MultiPro/MultiFlex Tow & Stow.

I have a MultiPro/MultiFlex Tailgate, which Tow & Stow do I need?

The MultiPro (GMC) and MultiFlex (Chevy) tailgates are versatile, multi-function tailgates available on select GM trucks. They offer a few handy features, including a fold-down inner step. But here’s the catch: when the step is lowered, it can come into contact with a standard ball mount—causing costly damage to your tailgate.

That’s why we created the MultiPro/MultiFlex Tow & Stow. Engineered with machined cutouts in the vertical adjustment block, this specialty Tow & Stow offers added clearance when stowed. Meaning you can lower your tailgate’s inner step without worrying about dents, dings, or costly repairs.

Please note that Standard Tow & Stows are not compatible with the specialty tailgates. Be sure to select 'GM MultiPro/MultiFlex' when choosing your Tow & Stow to see the available options.

What maintenance is recommended for the Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount?

Apply white lithium grease to all three Tow & Stow stainless steel pins. Keep the pins clean and lubricated to prevent seizing.

The pins on my Tow & Stow were lost/stolen. How do I go about getting new ones?

Replacement pins and clips can be purchased through a dealer or ordered through B&W.

The pins on my Tow & Stow have frozen in place. How can I prevent this?

The best way to prevent pins from seizing in place is to keep them clean and regularly apply a thin coating of white lithium grease. Keep in mind that metal parts in contact with each other and exposed to the elements can eventually corrode and rust. Regular maintenance is required.

How do I determine Vertical Tow Weight (VTW)?

With your trailer loaded and hitched up, pull just your vehicle onto a commercial scale, making sure the trailer is not on the scale. Weigh your vehicle with the trailer attached and note that weight.

Next, unhook the trailer and jack up the trailer until there is no trailer weight on the hitch. Make sure the trailer jack is not on the scale. Record that weight of only the truck. This is your Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

Now subtract your GVW from the weight with the trailer attached. This will give you your Vertical Tow Weight
